║>>> DGLABEL --- DGLABEL will give the user a quick easy method to print ║
║labels with great flexability with fonts. Create labels, font setups or lines║
║for memory. REMEMBER to save them for use at a later date. ║
║ ║
║>>> Label Editing --- To edit a label use the standard word processing keys ║
║such as the Cursor Arrows, Del, Ins, Home, Enter, Tab, End, Backspace, etc. ║
║Use Alt D to Delete a line. Use Alt E to Erase entire label. ║
║ ║
║F1 Help --- This file DGLABEL.HLP must be in the default drive when loading║
║or later when called to be available for use. ║
║ ║
║F2 Fonts --- The cursor is in the line active for changing fonts. To change║
║lines, use one of the cursor keys or hit a line number (1-5). The letter "F"║
║will toggle between font widths. The letters shown in the menu ("I" for ║
║italics) will turn of or off that particular font style for that individual ║
║line. Select any combination for each line, although not all will work on ║
║all printers. Use ESC to return to the Main Menu. ║
║ ║
║F3 Print Centered --- This will automatically center each line on the width ║
║of label that you have selected. This feature is highly printer dependent and║
║uses smaller then normal spaces to aid centering. The setup for Generic ║
║printer uses standard spacing and might work on your printer if others fail. ║
║Autofont "on" may default you into a combination that is not compatible. ║
║ ║
║F4 Print Left --- This will left justify the lines and print them at the ║
║left edge of the label. Useful for full-sized mailing address labels. ║
║ ║
║F5 Address --- This will print the first three lines (only) of the label. ║
║It will automatically select compressed/subscript print and print the ║
║information four times on each label. Great for return address labels. ║
║ ║
║F6 Memory --- Press F6 to use the Memory Option. The purpose of this ║
║option is to allow the instantaneous access to lines that you may use often ║
║or to move text from one line to another. You will be asked to input a line ║
║number (1 to 5) to save into memory. Enter the line number. Next you will ║
║be prompted to select a memory letter. Hit a key (A, B, or C). The line will║
║now appear in the memory section for your use in this session of labeling. ║
║ ║
║F7 Recall Dir --- Direct recall of previously called directory thru Alt F7 ║
║ ║
║F8 Printer Selection --- You will be prompted to select a printer from ║
║several on a menu. Enter the letter of the printer you wish. If your ║
║printer is not listed, select one that would be most compatible with your ║
║printer. For a compatibility check, turn Autofont "off", then select various║
║font widths with blank font styles and print out with "F4". With that as a ║
║starting point play around to see how your printer will react. Registered ║
║owners will get special assistance if there is a problem using their printer.║
║ ║
║F9 Width --- Select width in inches. Most labels of this type are 3.5 or 4║
║inches wide. The default has been set up for 3.5 inches. Select 8.5 to use ║
║DGLABEL for letter headings. Uses decimal (as shown in lines above) for ║
║widths that are not in even inches. ║
║ ║
║F10 Quit --- This will return you to DOS. No questions asked. ║
║ ║
║ALT F1,F2,F3,F4,F5,F6 Disk Access --- The disk access portion of this ║
║program allows the saving or retrieving to/from a disk. The label section, ║
║the font section or the memory section can be saved, or retrieved from ║
║previously saved sessions. *USE ALT F7 OR ALT F8 TO CHANGE DRIVE/DIRECTORY* ║
║An example follows. When you have a font setup that you wish to SAVE for ║
║future sessions use ALT F5. You will be prompted to enter a filename. Use ║
║DOS rules for filenames (8 letter maximum). DO NOT ADD EXTENSION Hit enter ║
║and the font setup will be saved to the disk. When you have a font setup ║
║that use wish to RETRIEVE from prior sessions use ALT F6. You will be ║
║prompted to enter a filename. Use DOS rules for filenames (8 letter ║
║maximum). DO NOT ADD EXTENSION. Hit enter and the font setup will be ║
║retrieved from the disk. With the exception of using different ALT keys, the║
║same steps should be followed for memory and labels. Use Alt F1 and ALT F2 ║
║for labels. Use Alt F3 and ALT F4 for memory. ║
║ ║
║ALT F7 Print Dir --- (Option A:) USE THIS OPTION TO CHANGE DEFAULT DRIVE. ║
║(Option B:) Use this for first time retrieval of previous saved labels. A new║
║screen appears with the saved labels. A new menu appears on this screen. ║
║To view a label use F7. Put a quantity by each label to print and use options║
║F3 or F4 from this screen. Esc returns to the Main Menu. ALT F is Autofont.║
║Use PgUp and PgDn to display over 50 labels.(Option C:) Recalls a previous ║
║selected list of labels. Use F7 from Main Menu to also do this function. ║
║ YOU MUST HAVE PREVIOUSLY SAVED LABELS TO USE THIS FEATURE ║
║ ║
║ALT F8 Dos Shell --- This option will invoke a second dos shell. You must ║
║have COMMAND.COM in "A" drive. Use "EXIT" to return to DGLABEL. Handy for ║
║changing default drive/directory. ║
║ ║
║Alt A,B,C Memory Use --- To use a line in memory while you are editing the ║
║label, place the cursor in the line you wish to replace with a line from ║
║memory, then hit Alt A or Alt B or Alt C. ║
║ ║
║ALT F AutoFont --- This key turns AutoFont Off/On. If you attempt to print ║
║a label with a font selection that will be too wide to print, Autofont will ║
║automatically adjust the Font width downward to the widest printable font ║
║It is suggested that Autofont be On when printing from directory. ║
